Date: 9/20/2012 TO 5/30/2013
Time: 12:30 PM TO 4:30 PM

Event Description:

Participants in Leadership Upper Bucks will develop leadership skills, learn how to use community impact models to affect change, gain experience working with others on project teams, and meet public and private sector leaders. Leadership Upper Bucks emphasizes leadership development over simply learning about community issues. A strong self-assessment component helps participants understand how their behavioral styles and talents affect the way they lead. Program topics build on this strengths-based model so graduates are equipped to be effective leaders in their organizations and in the communities where they live and work.

Program Highlights:
-Participants will discover their preferred behavioral style, team roles and innate talents they possess using several self assessment tools and facilitated learning sessions.
-Learn how to use organizational and community change models like Results-Based -Accountability and Appreciative Inquiry.
Class sessions are held from 12:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month beginning in  September 2012 and ending in June 2013.
-Participants will plan and execute a class project so they can practice their leadership skills and what they are learning.
-Classes are taught by highly qualified facilitators with real-world experience.
-Participants will select a mentor to serve as a resource and assist with making community connections.

Our program director and primary session facilitator is Ken Byler, Partner and Senior Consultant,
Higher Ground Consulting Group, LLC. Ken is an authorized distributor for Inscape Publishing and certified by Upstream Academy and The Fiscal Policy Studies Institute. He has been providing leadership development programs since 2002 and has presented to hundreds of leaders. Ken is known for his ability to make learning fun and practical so it gets results.
