Bucks County is a Class 2A County with 54 municipalities (23 boroughs and 31 townships) and three commissioners. 18 of the county’s municipalities comprise Upper Bucks County (listed below). Pennsylvania's Municipal Planning Code gives township and borough officials a key role in the process of approving business relocations and expansions. Local municipalities are happy to assist businesses and individuals with this process and are committed to helping businesses grow. Working cooperatively with county leaders, local government officials encourage new development and improvement of existing properties, while also encouraging the coordination of economic and community development services through many county offices and agencies.
