The Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce (UBCC) received a grant from Bucks County Workforce and Economic Development Office (Funding provided by the American Rescue Fund Act) to offer FREE employee training for Bucks County Employers. UBCC has partnered with The Walters Group to provide free employee training sessions on October 12th, 19th and 26th from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Bucks County Community College Upper Bucks Campus. The training is three consecutive sessions that cover three vital topics for employees. If you are interested and can attend please fill out the form below. Employee Training will cover the following 3 topicsThese are critical subjects for a broad spectrum of applications, but especially for improving efficiencies, effectiveness, and profitability for businesses of all sizes and scales. In addition, these are the most often asked for, needed, and frequently taught subjects we have done for our client work with businesses and not for profits.
FINANCIAL WELL BEING:
When employees are financially insecure, it can have a negative impact of their focus, stress, and productivity. Often, these situations are present, but unrecognized. Teaching employees about financial wellness give a double return on the investment both for the individual and the company. We start with understanding money and what financial wellness is and how it can impact individuals and their families. We will also explore how to make better financial decisions and the long-term impact of bad ones. Defining goals and budgeting will also be discussed. Finally, the session will end with learning financial life skills and how long term these skills can improve individuals lives which ultimately can be reflected in the top and bottom-line results of businesses. EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION:
All of us can always learn more about effective communications. This is a key to running an efficient operation and a thriving company culture. Awareness is key: are employees aware of their own personal communication attributes. Do they know their communication styles and those with whom they work each day? We will also talk about emotional intelligence and communication protocols – both critical skillsets in today’s fast paced every changing business environment. Finally, dovetailing off the previous work, we will talk about conflict resolution in the workplace. BUSINESS BEST PRACTICES:
In this section, we start with a broad-brush approach to understanding business. What are the parts and functions of a business entity and how do the pieces fit together. Many employees are never taught what’s the purpose and goal of running a business and how what they do in their responsibility fits with and is an important part of the whole. We will then venture into systems and processes. These can be efficiency catalysts and employees can benefit from their implementation. Also, we will touch on continuous improvement and how when employees are vigilant and take some ownership for the betterment of the company, good ideas can bring forth real positive change. We will then explore keys to better customer service and round of this session with keys to prioritizing, making better decisions, and time management. These are probably the top areas worked on with private company clients. |
