There is much to see and more to do in Upper Bucks

Picture
There’s no shortage of things to do in a region noted for its exceptional beauty, natural resources, and recreational user-friendliness. From Nockamixon and Ralph Stover state parks to Lake Towhee and Tinicum Park, numerous county and municipal trails and parks are open to the public. Upper Bucks has hiking, biking, walking and boating, horseback riding, fishing, swimming and more, set against lush backdrops of shifting colors and textures and offering a fresh view with each season.

For those who enjoy camping, Upper Bucks offers several campgrounds where patrons discover comfortable sites and facilities, scenic vistas, convenience and proximity to regional area attractions.
While most campgrounds are tucked away in quiet rural pockets, their strategic locations provide easy access to regional rail service and major highways for day tripping. Camping makes exploring the region not only possible, but it’s effortless and affordable, too.

The nearby Quakertown Interchange of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Northeast Extension provides for visits to Philadelphia by car, or connections to regional rain service to Philadelphia’s Center City downtown, along with history, arts and cultural activities there. Strategically located between the County seat of Doylestown to the south and east, and Montgomery County and the Lehigh Valley to the north, Upper Bucks is a gateway in both directions for travelers and those looking to spend their leisure time in the area. For natives and those passing through, Upper Bucks deserves a spot on any well considered destination list.
